This seems like a solid entry, but unfortunately I ran into a bug while playing, I think because I hit a UFO with a ping.

Glad to hear you like it... Sorry about the bug. I thought I had tested it well enough.
Thanks for describing the bug in detail, it was easy to fix. Uploaded version 1.1 which has fixed this bug.
